Work to resurface I-94 between County N in Cottage Grove and Airport Road in Lake Mills, Dane and Jefferson counties, is scheduled to begin on March 3, 2025. Other improvements include minor rehabilitation work on five bridges over I-94 at Baxter Road, Ridge Road Oak Park Road, County O, and I-94 bridge over Koshkonong Creek.
Motorists can expect to encounter nighttime and off-peak single lane closures. Nighttime ramp closures likely to take place, a detour route will be posted during ramp closures.
Construction is currently scheduled for completion in late November 2025. The construction schedule is based on favorable weather conditions and construction status. There is a public meeting on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cottage Grove Village Hall, 221 E Cottage Grove Road, Cottage Grove. The project team will discuss the construction schedule and traffic impacts.
