Sturgeon Bay, WIS., July 19, 2024— Tickets for the Women’s Fund of Door County’s Celebrate Women Luncheon go on sale August 1. This annual event will be held on Friday, September 13 at 11:30 a.m. at Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center.
Amy Schmidt, a national speaker, moderator, workshop presenter and panelist, will be this year’s keynote speaker.
“I am humbled and honored to be the keynote for this event,” says Schmidt. “Being able to share my inspiration in a place that has been my happy place since I was a little girl, fills my heart with gratitude. I am looking forward to a day of motivation, community and connection.”
Schmidt has an eclectic array of experiences, including her own story, that lends to her authority on topics such as parenting through transitions, empty nesting, reinvention, confidence, expat travel, and identifying your authentic self. She uses her positive approach to encourage people to be the best version of themselves. Her keynote topic, “Cultivating Confidence,” will encourage guests to live confidently and become the person they are meant to be.

The Celebrate Women Luncheon includes the keynote address, comments from a recent Women’s Fund of Door County grant recipient, and raffles.
The morning of the luncheon, the Women’s Fund of Door County will host a complimentary panel discussion entitled “Mental Health Across Generations.” During her keynote, Schmidt will touch briefly on how mental health can impact a person’s confidence. The panel discussion dives deeper into mental health among youth, adults, and seniors and will explore the similarities and differences as well as the strengths and challenges each generation faces.
The panel includes: moderator, Ally Bretl, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Door County Medical Center, and panelists Lauren Doust, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Door County Medical Center; Jodi Gonzales, Art Therapist and Certified Counselor, Jodi Rose Studio; and Morgan Kiedrowski, School Counselor, TJ Walker Middle School and Sturgeon Bay High School.
The complimentary panel discussion will be held in Stone Harbor’s main dining room on Friday, September 13 from 10-11a.m., doors open at 9:30a.m.. There is no purchase necessary to attend the panel discussion.
