WRTP | BIG STEP: Welcomes Stephanie Gallion as Chief Marketing Officer and Kimberly McGowan as Milwaukee Region Director

MILWAUKEE, WI (July 8, 2024) – Milwaukee-based WRTP | BIG STEP is pleased to welcome Stephanie Gallion as its Chief Marketing Officer and Kimberly McGowan as Milwaukee Region Director. 

Stephanie Gallion brings a diverse marketing skillset ranging from business strategy and organization to branding and design, storytelling, and digital media. Having spent over 20 years as a B2B marketer, she brings an agile focus on capturing each industry’s voice, distributing compelling stories through a wide range of marketing channels and ultimately engaging a devoted audience.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the WRTP | BIG STEP team, especially as the organization prepares for their 50th anniversary of serving the Milwaukee community. There is no better time in our region’s history to make hugely impactful connections with the industry, workers, and the local community,” said Gallion.

Gallion is moving into the nonprofit sector after decades of marketing professional services within the Wisconsin construction market. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from UW-Milwaukee.

Kimberly McGowan brings with her an extensive background in education. Her previous role as Director of Admissions at St. Joan Antida High School marked the beginning of her work in the community, where she established numerous community partnerships. McGowan’s contributions were recognized by her peers when she received the ROAR award, which is bestowed upon individuals who go above and beyond in their roles.

As the Milwaukee Region Director, Kimberly McGowan is responsible for collaborating, convening, and supervising industry activities and staff to develop and implement programming and training in the Greater Milwaukee area. She will collaborate and connect with public workforce partners, education systems, and industry leadership to implement programs and strategies to deliver high-performance workforce outcomes supporting industry’s needs for a skilled, qualified, diverse, and retainable workforce. She is the primary liaison to Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship programs and manages key relationships with the Wisconsin DWD Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards and regional Joint Apprenticeship Committee/Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee programs.

McGowan holds a master’s degree in education from Concordia University and is currently pursuing her PhD.
