New data this week shows that Wisconsin workers’ pay jumped 5.3% from this time last year, outpacing the national average. The 5.3% pay jump comes alongside news that inflation cooled in May, prices are flat, and core inflation has fallen to its lowest level in three years.
Meanwhile, experts say Donald Trump’s agenda will “raise costs for consumers,” “increase the inflation rate,” and even spur a “recession.”
Biden for President Wisconsin Press Secretary Timothy White issued the following statement:
“Donald Trump killed 82,000 Wisconsin jobs and attacked the unions that built our state’s economy, all so his billionaire donors would like him more. It’s no wonder Trump was the worst jobs president since Herbert Hoover. Thankfully now, under Joe Biden’s leadership, Wisconsinites’ wages are up and inflation is coming down. While President Biden is fighting corporate greed and bringing prices down, Trump is pushing plans that would raise costs, help tax cheats, and increase inflation on the backs of working Wisconsinites.”
