MADISON, Wis. (June 5, 2024) – The American Red Cross of Wisconsin will honor individuals and groups who have shown courage, dedication, and unselfish character by their acts of heroism in our community at the Southwest Heroes Golf Event Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Legend at Bergamont, 699 Bergamont Blvd., in Oregon. Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. This fun-filled day will also include a silent and online auction and a post-golf heroes’ reception. All proceeds from the event will benefit programs and people helped by the Southwest Wisconsin Chapter of the Red Cross.
Media is invited to attend the post-golf heroes’ reception at 2:30 p.m. to capture interviews from our local heroes.
“The annual Southwest Heroes Golf Event is a true testament to the impact area residents can have on our community,” said Kyle Kriegl, Executive Director of the Southwest Chapter. “This celebration of community generosity and humanitarianism grew out of a desire to commend area residents who exemplify the Red Cross mission – which is to prevent and alleviate human suffering.”
Chosen across a handful of categories, honorees are selected based on the degree to which their actions uphold the values of the Red Cross humanitarian mission and leave a lasting and positive impact on our communities.
