Agrace: ‘Race for Agrace’ comes to Madison June 2

MADISON, Wis. – To help ensure all area residents have access to its services, Agrace is hosting its 8th annual Race for Agrace fundraiser in Madison on Sunday, June 2. The family-friendly event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, and strollers are welcome on the course. Individuals and teams can race at 9 a.m. from Agrace’s Madison campus at 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, or individually on any course of their choosing.

All who participate in person at Agrace receive a Race for Agrace water bottle. Bibs will be provided to those who sign up for the in-person 5K run/walk, and the cost to attend is $15 per person. All participants are encouraged to raise money on behalf of themselves or their team. Raising $100 earns the racer a t-shirt.

If someone you know is aging, seriously ill, dying or grieving, they can turn to Agrace for support. A local, nonprofit, community-supported health care organization, Agrace is well-known for its compassionate hospice care, supportive (palliative) care, adult day care services, non-medical senior care and grief support throughout southwest Wisconsin.

Race participants and sponsors of this event will be helping Agrace care for patients and families throughout southwest Wisconsin—including people who need Agrace’s care but have no way to pay for it. All race proceeds benefit Agrace programs and services, including Care for All (charitable care), community grief support and Agrace’s Hospice Memory Care Suites.
