One of the upcoming highlights of the educaJon program is the Ukrainian Easter Egg Workshop, one of many adult and teen workshops at TMA back by popular demand for the second year. This unique and fun-filled workshop invites the public to delve into the tradiJonal art of wriJng Ukrainian Easter eggs, known as pysanky. Led by the Olga Halaburda Hietpas, parJcipants will use a kistka—a beeswax-filled ancient tool warmed over a candle fire—to create intricate moJfs on blown-out eggs, enhancing them with vibrant colored dyes. The workshop offers not only a hands-on experience, but this workshop also serves as a fundraiser for a monastery in western Ukraine, dedicated to assisJng those suffering from the traumas of war.
