HeyGov: Introducing ClerkMinutes: Groundbreaking tool transforms municipal meeting minutes with AI technology

HeyGov, a Door County local business, proudly unveiled plans to send their latest product, ClerkMinutes, to market during the local Lighthouse Launch pitch contest. HeyGov won the contest and will be participating in the regional pitch event, on November 30.

ClerkMinutes, a new product from HeyGov, uses cutting-edge AI technology to simplify the process of transcribing and summarizing municipal meeting minutes in official government format. Using an audio or video recording of meetings, municipal clerks can now access a transcription to edit, save and download.

The local and regional entrepreneurial pitch contests, backed by the NEW Launch Alliance of New North Inc., in partnership with Wisconsin Business Development Inc., signify a giant stride towards fostering a dynamic and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. The formation aims to enhance collaboration within the entrepreneurial community in the 18 counties of the New North region. Sharing and promoting connections between entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, educators, accelerators, and a wealth of additional resources.

HeyGov, previously the winner of the Information Technology category in the highly acclaimed Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest for 2022, now boasts a customer base of around 300 municipalities in 31 states across the United States. A big part of the company’s goal is to share knowledge and information with Clerks around digital governance and was represented at the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) during the 2023 annual conference, where it hosted a speaking engagement around the topic.

At the core of HeyGov’s mission is a steadfast commitment to efficient local government. Dustin Overbeck, CEO and Founder, emphasizes “We aim to make Clerk-work easier by automating everyday tasks that are time-consuming and can become tedious.” For HeyGov, this new tool follows an existing suite of tools designed specifically for municipalities.
