MILWAUKEE – Celebrating one year of riverfront dining and oak-fed fare, The Bridgewater Modern Grill today announced it’ll be commemorating its anniversary with a public celebration, “Riverfront Frights and Fun,” from Oct. 20 – 22, inviting community members to enjoy not only birthday celebrations, but a kick off to the Halloween season.
Beginning on Friday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 22 The Bridgewater’s 245-foot patio will be transformed with ghostly décor, lawn games and live music. During that weekend only, The Bridgewater will highlight a specialty, spooky cocktail menu including: “Bloody Sour” featuring Elijah Craig Small Batch, “Midnight Black Berry Smash” featuring Jack Daniels and “Harvest Cider” featuring Limousin Rye.
On Friday evening and Saturday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m., The Bridgewater will host evening showings of family-friendly Halloween movies on a big screen on the riverfront patio. During brunch on Saturday and Sunday, The Bridgewater will host live music.
“We owe this first year of incredible success to our amazing customers, neighbors and staff,” said Rik Acken, general manager of The Bridgewater Modern Grill. “It was a fantastic fall evening on our opening night last year, and we’re thrilled to welcome the community back to celebrate with us and enjoy the sounds, sites and tastes of fall and Halloween. There’s no better way to celebrate the season than with a specialty cocktail, firepit and movie on the longest riverfront patio in the area.”
During dinner service Friday through Sunday, The Bridgewater is offering prix-fixe, 3-course harvest menus, featuring options of Caesar salad or potato leek soup, cabernet braised short rib with grilled mushroom and potato puree or shrimp and yellow corn grits with tasso ham creole sauce, and pumpkin cheesecake with toasted pumpkin seed crumb or flourless chocolate cake with toasted hazelnuts and whipped cream. The 3-course menus will be available for $61 (short rib) and $56 (shrimp), respectively.
The Bridgewater opened its door on Oct. 25, 2022 and since then, has been serving the community with brunch and dinner seven days a week, focusing on the role of fire in food along with its robust wine program, custom cocktails and local, craft beers.
Guests can enjoy the patio at one of four lounge areas with fire tables, on the 100-person outdoor lawn or the exterior dining space.
The Bridgewater Modern Grill is open 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sunday.
