WEST BEND, WI – The Washington County Commuter Express (WCCE) bus service will have its last run on Friday, September 29, 2023. The Washington County Board voted to eliminate the service at their June meeting.
Thank you to everyone who used this service over the years and participated in the public meetings.
We recognize that some residents will still need access to downtown Milwaukee, and there are alternatives listed below as well as on our website (Washington County Transit Services).
- Use Washington County Shared Ride Taxi Service to Woodman’s Market in Menomonee Falls, then use MCTS Blue Line to downtown Milwaukee.
- Collaborate with WCCE riders to initiate a vanpool as WCCE park and ride lots will still be available.
- Register online for the DOT RideShare program or the regional rideshare program CommuteWISE.
- Connect with Ozaukee County Express at park and ride locations to downtown Milwaukee.
- Commute to Watertown Plank Road lot to connect with Milwaukee Connect 1 Service.
- Interfaith Caregivers provides transportation to eligible seniors (age 60+) to medical appointments.
- Eligible Veterans can request transportation through Veterans Affairs:
