ThedaCare: Will Flett join ThedaCare as Chief Financial Officer

NEENAH, Wis. – Will Flett, MBA, CHFP, will be joining ThedaCare as Chief Financial Officer, leaders announced. In this role, Flett will provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure ThedaCare has the proper operational controls, procedures and people in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. 

Through this work, Flett will support ThedaCare’s commitment to advancing local health care for patients, and improving the delivery of care in Northeast and Central Wisconsin.

As a not-for-profit health system, ThedaCare is dedicated to protecting access to care and enhancing patient experience through responsible financial performance. In order for the system to invest in the latest medical technologies, facilities and its team members, as well as provide health and wellness to the communities it serves, ThedaCare must be good stewards of its resources.

Flett received a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of South Dakota. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional. Before joining ThedaCare, Flett most recently served as the Vice President of Finance at Aspirus Health. He has also held various financial leadership roles at numerous hospitals systems in the Midwest. 

Mark Thompson, current chief operating officer and chief financial officer of ThedaCare, will transition to serve as chief transformation investment officer in the new structure created by Froedtert Health and ThedaCare’s planned combined organization, which is expected to launch at the beginning of the new year.  

Flett will begin his role at ThedaCare on September 25, 2023.
