MILWAUKEE — County Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones and County Board 1st Vice Chair Sequanna Taylor are holding a town hall meeting tomorrow, July 25, to discuss the proposed 0.4% increase of Milwaukee County’s sales tax.
The town hall meeting will be held from 5:30 PM–7:00 PM at the Clinton Rose Senior Center (3045 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive). Upon announcing this community discussion, Supervisor Coggs-Jones released the following statement:
“As I stay committed to the motto of ‘The People’s Politician,’ I intend to utilize my platforms and bridge the gaps of communication between Milwaukee County residents,” said Supervisor Coggs-Jones. “With so many changes that are happening within Milwaukee County, I am hosting this town hall meeting for the residents of District 13 to educate and inform.”
Residents are encouraged to join to ask questions and express their opinions. Milwaukee County Comptroller Scott Manske will be in attendance alongside Supervisor Coggs-Jones and Vice Chair Taylor to provide more details about the proposed 0.4% sales tax increase.

The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on the proposed sales tax increase at their next meeting, to be held on Thursday, July 27, at 9:30 AM.
