NeighborWorks Green Bay: Announces an Open House at 421 4th Street, Green Bay

Green Bay, WI – NeighborWorks Green Bay will celebrate its latest new construction and its 461st unit impacted in our community, reflecting our mission of solving housing challenges and building stronger communities.  The community is invited to our Open House for a tour and refreshments on Wednesday, July 12th at 421 4^th Street in Green Bayfrom 3:30 to 6:00 pm.

This newly built, 1,242 square foot single-family home features 1.5 story with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a 2-car detached garage.  It is located in the Shipyard Neighborhood and adjacent to the Shipyard Redevelopment Area-a mix of housing, businesses, a riverfront path, and recreational amenities.  NeighborWorks Green Bay, the Green Bay Area Public Schools, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and local trades organizations partner in the Bridges Construction and Renovation Program that teaches high school students how to build and renovate homes. Green Bay students built the 4th Street home throughout the 2022-2023 school year. The home will be offered for sale to area families soon.  “The open house offers the community the opportunity to see how our work directly impacts neighborhoods and today’s housing challenges,” said Noel Halvorsen, President and CEO of NeighborWorks Green Bay. 

This home was made possible through a unique partnership among NeighborWorks Green Bay, Adopt-A-Home™ donors, the Green Bay Area Public Schools’ Bridges Construction & Renovation, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Green Bay, the Brown County Home Builders Association, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and other local supporters.
