MADISON, Wis. – Agrace has appointed Susan Collins, Carey Gehl and Lisa Olson to its board of directors, and Mark Pent and Susan Schmitz to the Agrace Foundation board.
A nonprofit health care organization, Agrace provides hospice care, supportive (palliative) care, non-medical personal care, adult day services and grief support across southern Wisconsin. The Agrace Board of Directors provides high-level oversight, supporting Agrace’s activities and performance, and its Foundation Board guides its fundraising, helping to meet the organization’s current and future needs.
New Members of Agrace Board of Directors
· Susan Collins, of Madison, Wis., was senior managing counsel/senior fiduciary counsel at Associated Bank from 2012 until she retired in 2018. She has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, as an author of an estate planning workbook, and as a member of numerous drafting committees for Wisconsin trust and fiduciary legislation.
· Carey Gehl, of Middleton, Wis., is senior vice president and chief strategy officer at UW Health. She serves on the board of Quartz Health Solutions, Inc., a provider-sponsored health insurance plan serving members in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa.
· Lisa Olson, of Madison, was most recently the Medicaid director for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, where she oversaw the state’s largest health insurance program. She serves as a board member at Share the Health, a free gynecology clinic for uninsured women.
New Members to Agrace Foundation Board of Directors
· Mark Pent, of Madison, Wis., is the branch director of the Madison office for Annex Wealth Management, a Registered Independent Advisory firm based in Elm Grove. In this capacity, he oversees the branch staff and serves as a wealth manager. Mark also serves as chair of the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army of Dane County.
· Susan Schmitz, of Madison, Wis., recently served as executive director of Downtown Madison, Inc. (DMI). She is owner and president of Schmitz Consulting, LLC., which focuses on advocacy, fundraising, affordable housing, homeless challenges and transportation. In July, Susan will complete a two-year term as a member of the Wisconsin State Journal Editorial Board.
