Milwaukee, Wis. – BBB Wisconsin is warning of a work-from-home job scam reshipping packages.
“Limco Logistics” a/d/b/a “Limco Post” first came to BBB Wisconsin’s attention in late March, 2023 when consumers began to report it to BBB Scam Tracker.
BBB Wisconsin has since been receiving reports from victims across the country reporting a fake job offer sent via email claiming to hire for a “packaging inspector.”
Consumers reported that they were instructed to reship packages and, in return, promised payment of $3,700 plus bonuses after a 30-day probationary period. No payment was ever received and, in fact, consumers report losing all contact with Limco soon afterward.
Using a Madison address that is actually an empty office space, its website was newly created on March 6, 2023. Its phone numbers (207-419-6155, 207-419-6160 and 888-846-2013) are disconnected.
Consumers state they were asked to print labels and reship items such as vacuum cleaners, blenders, jewelry and Apple watches.
In addition, they also had to “create a profile dashboard” for payroll purposes, in which they supplied personal and banking information.
“Sharing such sensitive data with unknown actors leaves you wide open for identity theft, which is a huge concern”, says Lisa Schiller, BBB Wisconsin Director of Investigations. “Anytime anyone supplies such personal information, BBB advises they file reports with the proper authorities and closely monitor all accounts for suspicious activity.”
A consumer in Oklahoma writes, “This “company” had me fill out a W4 form (and) submit a photo of my driver’s license, as well as my home address. They also asked for my bank info for direct deposit for payday or I could give them my PayPal. Not knowing they were fake, I gave them both. The packages I received from them were real products. I got a blender once, an Apple Watch, as well as a golden ring all of which were name brand, expensive items. I have filed a police report (as) this company never paid me a single penny. I have an eviction notice on my door right now as well as other bills due. This company really hurt myself and my family.”
The United States Postal Inspectors (USPIS) has a warning about reshipping scams on its website.
There is a real Limco Logistics company located in Florida, which is completely unrelated. It advised a BBB Wisconsin investigator via telephone that they are aware that their name has been used fraudulently in this scheme, and it is a victim too. It has been urging callers to report it to their local law enforcement agency.

Reshipping scams are common job scams and often involve shipping goods purchased with stolen credit cards, as outlined in this BBB job scams study.
Employment scams have increased post-pandemic with reports submitted to BBB Scam Tracker rising 23.1% from 2021 to 2022, climbing to the second riskiest scam in 2022, according to a recent BBB report. Identity theft is a common outcome, as scammers often steal job seekers’ personal information to open bank accounts to further their fraud. BBB found 34% of victims provided their driver’s license number and 25% provided their Social Security Number.
