Wisconsin Arts Board: Panel meetings

Madison, WI – The Wisconsin Arts Board will convene three panels of experts to evaluate applications and recommend funding for organizations from around the state that have applied to the Arts Board’s Creative Communities Program and the Folk Arts Apprenticeship Program.

The Creative Communities grant program encourages arts education, cultural understanding, and community arts development in Wisconsin. It provides support for projects that further the Arts Board’s goals in the following three areas: Arts Education; Folk and Traditional Arts; and Local Arts. Through direct financial support of specific arts projects, the Arts Board sustains the vitality of Wisconsin culturally, educationally, and economically.

Folk Arts Apprenticeships are designed to strengthen and encourage the continuity of Wisconsin’s diverse cultural traditions by supporting direct passage of knowledge and skills embedded in traditional art forms. Skilled and experienced traditional or folk artists teach committed and talented apprentices of their choosing.
