MILWAUKEE (March 31, 2022) – Beautiful, bold, bright and beguiling hand-crafted art in all shapes and sizes will once again take center stage on the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum. The 47th annual Morning Glory Art Fair, a signature outdoor summer event, will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Morning Glory Art Fair features art in 12 categories, including ceramics, digital art, jewelry, photography and sculpture from 130+ talented artists from Wisconsin and around the country. Each artist is individually juried into the fair, based on a committee review of their portfolio. The stringent review process ensures the highest level of fine craft and art are presented at Morning Glory.
Morning Glory is free and open to the public and regularly draws 12,000 attendees. The show moved to the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum in 2019. The Morning Glory Art Fair is hosted by Wisconsin Craft, one of the oldest fine craft organizations in the country.
“Art is something that enriches our lives. It evokes emotions and feelings and can speak to people in many different ways,” says Jean Wells, president of Wisconsin Craft. “Our organization is dedicated supporting to professional artists whose work adds vibrancy and energy to communities throughout Wisconsin and beyond.”
As part of its focus on supporting artists, each year Wisconsin Craft presents two signature events – Morning Glory Art Fair and MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour. The organization also offers an online directory so buyers can easily purchase signature items from more than 75 artists.In spring 2023, Wisconsin Craft will host its first WI Craft Member Biennial Exhibition at the Wausau Center for the Visual Arts.
Chris Leung, Kewaskum, WI – Ceramics – Wisconsin Craft Member
Leung was the “Best of Show” award winner at the Morning Glory Art Fair in 2019 and 2021. His studio is situated on 83 acres of land, which has been preserved through the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust in Wisconsin. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Leung develops shapes/patterns from his early memories of living in Asia as well as from the everyday scenery of the surrounding Wisconsin landscape.
Claudia Winter, Long Grove, IL – Jewelry – Wisconsin Craft Member
Winter uses traditional metalsmithing techniques and hand-tinted resin inlay to create reversible silver jewelry. Each side features a different color scheme so the owner can choose which way to wear it.

Kaitlin Esche-Lyon, Madison, WI – Fiber – Wisconsin Craft Member
Prior to starting her quilting business, Quarter Life Leap, in December 2020, Esche-Lyon was an architect. In May of 2020, she began making her first quilt and ended up losing her job in July. Esche-Lyon incorporates the “fun part of architecture” – design and the history of buildings – into some of her quilts.
