Two Generations, Three Latifi Families Operate Harry’s Restaurant Group of Sheboygan (Sheboygan, Wis.) December 8, 2021 – Harry’s Prohibition Bistro, a 1920’s era bistro and wine bar and one of four Vera Pizza Napoletana certified pizzerias in Wisconsin, announces new ownership. Adrian Latifi, son of previous owner Harry Latifi, along with his wife Jusra, purchased the family-owned business in November 2021. “The family is passing on the torch in flames,” said Harry, former owner and founder of Harry’s Prohibition Bistro and Adrian’s father. “As a boss and moreover as a father, I’m proud to pass along the restaurant to my son who was born into the restaurant business and will thrive at the helm.” |

Located on the south side of the Sheboygan River near Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center, Harry’s Prohibition Bistro is known for traditional certified Vera Neapolitan Pizza, robust pastas, cast-iron mussels, cocktails, craft beer, homemade tiramisu, and the scenic view. The team at Harry’s Prohibition Bistro takes pride in their service standards and culinary experiences welcoming locals and visitors alike with warm-hearted Midwestern hospitality with a Macedonian flare. “The way we treat our employees reflects directly onto our customers,” said Adrian, co-owner and head chef of Harry’s Prohibition Bistro. “And my employees get all the credit for our success. We have a loyal, dedicated, great crew!” Adrian was born in Sheboygan in 1995 and attended Madison Area Technical College in Madison graduating in 2016 with an associate degree in Culinary Arts and Chef Training. Adrian has extensive restaurant experience including serving, hosting, bartending, management, and kitchen experience from employment with various restaurants including Madison’s Naples 15 and Porta Alba Restaurants. Most recently he worked as a cook at Harry’s Prohibition Bistro since 2013 and as a cook at Harry’s Diner since 2006-2013. Adrian is the head chef of Harry’s Prohibition Bistro and has certifications include ServSafe and in Roman Al Taglio Pizza – one of only two in Wisconsin along with his uncle Avni (Al) Latifi. Adrian met his now wife Jusra Mamuti in 2018. At the time, Jusra was employed at Arcus, a fine dining restaurant near Macedonia. She relocated to the United States and served as a hostess at both Harry’s Diner at Calumet and Harry’s Prohibition Bistro for several years. A wedding was held in September 2019 in Sheboygan and the couple welcomed their first child a daughter Odessa in June 2021. |

Family is at the helm of the Harry’s Restaurant Group which has been part of the Sheboygan community since 2000 with restaurants Harry’s Diner on Calumet, Harry’s Diner at Interstate, Harry’s Prohibition Bistro, and Harry’s Pizza Market. The family restaurant business first started in 1994 with a diner in Kankakee, Ill., which Harry opened after moving to the United States from his hometown formerly Yugoslavia. In 1999, Harry moved to Wisconsin and opened Harry’s Diner in 2000. The diner was originally located on Kohler Memorial Drive and later relocated to its current location on Calumet Drive. Harry and wife Christina continue to own and operate Harry’s Diner on Calumet and brother Al Latifi and wife Laurie are the owners of Harry’s Diner at Interstate in Sheboygan. The 1950’s themed family-style American diners are open for breakfast and lunch. Al and Laurie continue to seek a new location for Harry’s Pizza Market featuring certified Roman Al Taglio Pizza. Additional second generation family members involved in the business are Arian and Armen Latifi, Al and Laurie’s two sons. The brothers are currently cooks at Harry’s Prohibition Bistro mentored by cousin Adrian while attending North High School. ABOUT HARRY’S PROHIBITION BISTRO Prohibition Bistro is a 1920’s themed Neapolitan pizzeria serving wood-fired Naples style pizza and calzones along with appetizers, salads, pasta, and desserts.
