Milwaukee Federation for Children: Milwaukee education study named best academic article

Wisconsin Federation for Children congratulates Corey DeAngelis and Dr. Patrick Wolf for their article, “Private School Choice and Character: More Evidence from Milwaukee,” being selected by the Journal of Private Enterprise as best academic article of 2021.

Their research on school choice in Milwaukee shows that participation in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) results in reduced crime (by 53%), paternity suits (by 38%) and drug convictions (by 86%).

The MPCP was founded in 1990 and is the oldest school choice voucher program in the US. Today, over 28,000 students participate at more than 130 schools.
