Janesville, WI. – Nursing isn’t just taking temperatures and changing bedsheets. From the ER to anesthesiology, registered nurses play a large part in the diagnosis and care of patients throughout the medical profession. To recognize this dedication, Quaker Steak and Lube, 3111 Wellington Court, will give all those in the nursing profession a 20 percent discount during National Nurses’ Week, May 6 to May 12.
“Nearly everyone has had the benefit of a good nurse,” said Brandon Nicholas, General Manager at Janesville’s Quaker Steak & Lube. “The one who stayed past quitting time to see a patient out, or the one who helped a grieving family with a happy face. These are the people we’re honoring.
By showing a resident nurse ID card or pay stub, patrons will receive 20 percent off the entire food order, excluding alcohol at all of the Wisconsin Quaker Steak and Lube locations-Middleton, New Berlin, and Janesville. Nurses can dine in or order for their team, as boxed lunches, catering and delivery is also available during National Nurses Week.
National Nurses Week runs from May 6, which is National Nurses Day, through May 12, which is Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Nightingale served as a nurse during the Crimean War and paved the way for modern systems of nursing.
