Gingerbread Hag Ovens: Joins the Village Hive: Bakery and local foods collective

Amherst, Wisconsin –

Mary Robl, owner of Gingerbread Hag Ovens, has been making gingerbread cookies since the mid- nineties. She is working toward using all organic ingredients for her soft and spicy gingerbread. The idea for the name “Gingerbread Hag Ovens” came from the story of Hansel and Gretel” says Robl. The vintage style label includes a 1909 storybook illustration.

The gingerbreads are sold in either 6 or 12 cookie packages at The Village Hive, a shared use kitchen, in Amherst. The attractive bags and festive cookies make this the perfect hostess gift for the holidays.

Future creations include pumpkin gingerbread cookies, chocolate gingerbread cookies, and a family recipe of angel food candy.
