May 8,2013 Pewaukee, Wis. – Daniel Balch, CLU, ChFC, owner of Woodmen Financial Resources, Green Bay, Wis., was recognized by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Wisconsin for his dedicated service to the association.
Balch received the A. Jack Nussbaum Award for Distinguished Service at a banquet in his honor following the association’s annual meeting May 8. The award was presented by John Wheeler, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF secretary/treasurer and Nussbaum awards chair. NAIFA is the largest professional organization representing life insurance agents and financial advisors nationwide.
Balch entered the insurance and financial services industry over 40 years ago and has served the NAIFA by going through the local association executive committee chairs, and serving twice as president of his local General Agents and Management Association (GAMA).
In addition to her service to the association, Balch is a qualifying and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, has five national management awards from GAMA, and has been awarded the top individual sales award from his broker/dealer three times.

Balch and his son Richard operate Woodmen Financial Resources, a full service financial planning firm based in Green Bay, Wis. Balch specializes in portfolio analysis, asset allocation design, investment management, insurance planning, estate planning, retirement planning, college funding strategies and comprehensive financial planning. He has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTCF), designations.
