MILWAUKEE, WI (January 9, 2012) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP partner, John Flanagan, has been named president of the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund, Inc. Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund is a nonprofit organization that solicits donations from lawyers, law firms and corporations to provide funding for Legal Action of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Judicare and Disability Rights Wisconsin. The fund, founded in 1996, has helped deliver legal services to over 20,000 low-income Wisconsinites.
Flanagan has been practicing in the area of commercial litigation for 25 years and has been recognized in the 2011 and 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America. In addition to his new role, Flanagan currently serves on the board of the Skylight Musical Theatre. He is the former chairperson of Benedict Center.
Michael Best partner José A. Olivieri currently serves on the fund’s board and partner Dave Hanson served as president of the organization in the past.
