BELOIT, Wis. – ABC Supply Co. Inc. will honor Jeff Ploch – a resident of Oak Creek, Wis. and the building products distributor’s Wisconsin district manager – as one of three inaugural winners of the Ken Hendricks Award.
ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing in the United States and one of the nation’s largest distributors of siding, windows and other select exterior building products. Ploch works from the company’s branch at 11111 W. Lapham St. in West Allis, Wis.
The Ken Hendricks Award honors the memory of ABC Supply’s co-founder, Ken Hendricks, and celebrates the values he championed and that have driven the company since its establishment in 1982 – Respect, Opportunity, Work Hard – Have Fun, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Family, Give Back and American Pride. Presented annually to ABC Supply associates, it is the most prestigious distinction bestowed by the company.
Ploch and his fellow honorees are being recognized for their continued excellence in performance, dedication, commitment and desire to improve themselves and others, said Kim Hendricks, vice president of organizational development.
Ploch has seized the opportunities presented to him since he joined ABC Supply as a driver in 1987. More importantly, he works tirelessly to help the associates in his district make the most of the opportunities available to them. He lives modestly and envisions creating a charitable fund that would be administered by his children and their descendants.
“Jeff embodies the spirit that the Ken Hendricks Award is intended to recognize,” Kim Hendricks said. “In his business life and in his personal life, he demonstrates character that is true to the values that our company was founded on and that continue to serve as our guiding principles.”
Ploch will receive his award during the company’s annual Founders’ Celebration event at ABC Supply’s National Support Center headquarters in Beloit, Wis. this evening.
