Milwaukee — The Wellness Council of Wisconsin has started 2011 off on a high note. They have achieved the premium licensing agreement rebate that national organization, the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), set up to reward local affiliates that exceed goals that were set at the beginning of last year. “I’m pleased to announce,” said WELCOA President David Hunnicutt, “that the Wellness Council of Wisconsin has achieved the premium licensing agreement rebate established for exemplary performance.”
The rebate is in recognition of surpassing goals and the organization’s accomplishments in 2010. Some of these accomplishments include adding 81 new organizations, maintaining a 90 percent renewal rate, having more than 1,200 people attend public educational offerings and having 29 member organizations earning the Well Workplace Award.
“As the only nonprofit organization in Wisconsin dedicated exclusively to helping employers design results-oriented wellness programs, I look forward to building upon our successes while also continuing to offer valuable programs and services that meet the needs of employers in Wisconsin,” said Wellness Council of Wisconsin Executive Director Jessica Raddemann. “This recognition means a lot for our organization and it also means that more businesses are seeing the importance of worksite wellness.”
The Wellness Council was founded in 1985 by the Wisconsin business community. Membership has grown from nine founding companies to more than 430 organizations representing 420,000 employees. With more than 3,000 member organizations located throughout North America, WELCOA is highly recognized and regarded for their innovative and results-oriented approach to worksite wellness.
