MILWAUKEE, WI – Historic Milwaukee, Inc. (HMI) continues a tradition of honoring a local firm’s contribution to Milwaukee’s heritage with its Remarkable Milwaukee dinner event on October 18th at the Pfister Hotel. This year, Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) will be honored.
The benefits of being honored include: serving as the namesake for HMI’s fall fundraising event, getting featured on all media and promotional materials pertaining to Remarkable Milwaukee as well as a wide array of complementary walking tours for the employees during the calendar year of 2011. Historic Milwaukee provides guide services for corporate guests and clients for up to 12 tours, which may be scheduled anytime during 2011.
A Corporate Table will be reserved for the firm at the Remarkable Milwaukee dinner the following year. Local businesses and individuals within the community are encouraged to attend and support the business being honored. “The event serves as a fantastic way to network with business professionals and honor those who have made remarkable contributions to our city and its built environment,” stated Anna-Marie Opgenorth, HMI’s Executive Director.
The HMI website will feature content explaining why the honoree was chosen along with links further explaining the historical background and the accomplishments of the firm. JCI will also be featured in a front-page article in HMI’s quarterly publication, Echo, along with quarterly columns featuring the honoree in the publications to follow.
JCI has an unbridled commitment to serving its community and since being selected as the honoree, JCI has announced the sponsorship of a Conservation Leadership Corp employing 70 Milwaukee teens to help with erosion control and rebuilding of several of Milwaukee’s Parks after damage from the July flooding.
