MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that three Wisconsin businesses will share $20,000 in funding from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) Business Employees Skills Training (BEST) program.
“The BEST program focuses on providing employees with training that will upgrade the skills of Wisconsin’s workforce,” Governor Doyle said. “These grants will help provide the training that will allow Wisconsin businesses to continue to move forward and to grow.”
The projects are as follows:
· Industrial Graphics Corporation, Fredonia, Ozaukee County, $5,000 BEST grant
· Pro-Active Engineering, Inc., Sun Prairie, Dane County, $5,000 BEST grant
· Tape Machining Corporation, New Berlin, Waukesha County, $10,000 BEST grant
Businesses throughout Wisconsin can apply for funds through the BEST program for assistance in training employees.
