MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Board Second Vice Chairwoman and 13th District Supervisor made the following statement, extending her heartfelt condolences to the family of 76-year-old Bobbie Wade, who tragically lost her life early Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle while assisting at the scene of a crash on I-43 near North Avenue:
“This tragedy is a sobering reminder of the dangers faced by those who act selflessly in moments of crisis. Ms. Wade stepped forward to help others in a time of need, embodying the compassion and courage we all hope to see in our community. Her loss is heartbreaking and should never have happened. I extend my deepest thoughts, prayers, and condolences to her family, friends, and all who are mourning her today.
“We must continue to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of impaired and reckless driving. Every life lost due to these preventable choices is one too many. I urge all drivers to remain alert, responsible, and vigilant behind the wheel—for your safety and the safety of every person on our roads.”
