Marquette University: To host Zoom COO for Loebl Women Business Leaders Series, April 23

MILWAUKEE — Marquette Business will present Aparna Bawa, chief operating officer at Zoom, as part of its June and Herman Loebl Women Business Leaders Speaker Series on Wednesday, April 23, at 5 p.m. at Dr. E. J. and Margaret O’Brien Hall, 1530 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Bawa will participate in a moderated discussion with Andrew DeGuire, Keyes Dean of Business Administration at Marquette. Bawa is experienced in building infrastructure for rapidly growing technology companies. Prior to her time at Zoom, she was senior vice president and general counsel for Magento Commerce, the leading global provider of e-commerce software solutions; she helped sell the company to Adobe in 2018. Bawa was also vice president and general counsel for Nimble Storage, which was also successfully sold to Hewlett Packard in 2017. Bawa is a board member of Palo Alto Networks and Claflin University. 

Bawa is a 1999 Marquette alumna; she earned her law degree from Harvard University.

The June and Herman Loebl Women Business Leaders Speaker Series features distinguished women business leaders who have reached the highest levels of achievement and leadership in their professional sphere.
