Fox Cities Chamber: To host Legislative Luncheon on April 7

FOX CITIES, Wis. (March 19, 2025) –   The Fox Cities Chamber is hosting a Legislative Luncheon featuring Representative Dean Kaufert and Senator Kristin Dassler-Alfheim on Monday, April 7, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Werner Electric, 4800 W. Prospect Avenue, Appleton.

The event brings together business leaders and policymakers to discuss pressing legislative and economic issues impacting Wisconsin. Hear their thoughts on how the new tariffs will affect Wisconsin business, business implications of the newest member of the Wisconsin supreme court, and other hot topics that affect local businesses, including imports, energy, childcare, and health insurance.

Representative Dean Kaufert was born in Menasha, WI and has lived in both Neenah and Menasha throughout his life. He graduated from Neenah High School and attended Fox Valley Technical College, becoming an EMT. Kaufert worked with Gold Cross Ambulance for many years serving the Fox Valley. Over the past thirty years he has owned and operated two small businesses, All Sport Trophy and Engraving in Neenah and the Dome Sports Bar and Grill in Neenah.

Dean previously served in the Legislature from 1991-2014, and then served as Mayor of Neenah from 2014-2018. He decided to run for the State Assembly again to restore common sense in Madison.

Senator Kristin Dassler-Alfheim was born and raised on a beef farm in central Wisconsin. For many years, she was active in both NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Wisconsin) and the Alzheimer’s Association, working to build bipartisan coalitions capable of actually passing legislation to help ordinary Wisconsinites. She has served as State President of NAIFA and on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association. She currently works as a retirement planner, helping middle-class families navigate the complexities of retirement.

In 2022, frustrated with the dysfunction in the state legislature, she ran for State Senate. The Senator is excited to put her coalition-building skills to work to pass legislation to address the housing shortage, rising healthcare costs, funding for municipalities and public schools, and protecting women’s reproductive rights.

The luncheon is free for Fox Cities Chamber members, and $25 for non-members. Lunch will be provided. Please register at:  https://members.foxcc.net/chamber-events/Details/2025-april-legislative-luncheon-1352231?sourceTypeId=Website.
