Carthage College: Offers learning sessions in product management

KENOSHA, Wis. – Carthage College will host free learning sessions on product management for professionals seeking to advance their careers in manufacturing, engineering, or business. Three of the four sessions will be virtual.

Join Professor Lisa Franklin, an enthusiastic leader with extensive experience developing individuals, strategies, and products that meet customer needs. Each 30-minute webinar will provide insights into market research, career pathways, and how today’s best product managers juggle innovation and execution.

These brief, high-impact sessions will provide key skills that can set attendees apart in today’s job market:

Pathways to Success — Careers in Product Management 
Monday, April 14 — Noon, On Campus (2001 Alford Park Drive, Kenosha)
Curious about a career in product management? This session will break down the different pathways into the field, key skills that make a great product manager, and tips for landing your first PM role.

The Balancing Act — Managing Today While Innovating for Tomorrow 
Friday, May 9 — Noon, Virtual
Product managers must juggle two critical responsibilities: keeping current products competitive while laying the groundwork for future innovation. Learn strategies for making smart decisions that drive both immediate impact and future growth.

Students who have earned an undergraduate degree may enroll in Carthage’s product management certification and master’s degree program to learn the tools and skills needed to define innovative, sustainable products, services, and business models that are good for their customers, companies, and the world. 

Carthage’s School of Business and Economics launched this program last fall to meet a growing need for skilled product managers. The accelerated format trains students to quickly understand the unique challenges and opportunities in product development.
