CABLE, WI – The 2025 Fat Bike Birkie, the premier fat tire bike race in the Midwest, delivered another high-energy, adrenaline-packed event on Saturday. Riders from across the region and (number of states) tackled the legendary Birkie Trail, pushing their limits on snow-packed terrain in the Big Fat (47K), Half Fat (21K), and Fun Fat (10K) races. With clear skies and fast conditions, competitors hit the course at 9AM and battled for top honors during a solid two-hours of cold temps, keeping the trail & snow frozen. By 11AM, temperatures were into the 40s making the outdoor post-race celebrations ideal.
Congratulations to our 2025 Big Fat and Half Fat Overall Winners! In the Big Fat Men’s division, Corey Stelljes powered his way to the top, followed by Sean Cooley in second and Joel LaFrance in third. In the Big Fat Women’s race, Erika Dankers won, with Jennifer Youngwerth claiming second and Heather Stelljes rounding out the podium. The Half Fat race saw Quinn Ebner claim victory in the men’s division, followed by Elijah Flintrop and Karl Nelson.
