Aug. 8, 2024 – Tickets are now available for the Women’s Leadership Conference, Wisconsin’s foremost event dedicated to advancing women in their professional journeys. The conference, scheduled for Oct. 1-2 at the Resch Expo Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has a lineup of speakers designed to encourage, inspire and empower attendees.
With a theme of “Dream Big and Soar,” the sixth annual conference serves to inspire attendees to take the next steps in their professional trajectory. The conference starts with an exclusive Backstage Pass event on the evening of Oct. 1, with the main event on Oct. 2 offering an entire day filled with keynote presentations and immersive breakout sessions led by distinguished regional and national speakers.
Conference keynote speaker Michelle Curran, also known as Mace, personifies the conference theme. An Air Force fighter pilot for 13 years, she spent two years as the lead solo pilot for the Air Force Thunderbirds, performing for millions across the country and internationally. Although Curran had a successful career, she struggled with self-doubt and imposter syndrome. Since leaving the Air Force in 2022, she travels the country sharing her story of going from struggling with a crippling fear of failure to flying inverted only inches from other aircraft at 500 miles per honor.
The conference lineup features a range of thought-provoking sessions including “Stop Apologizing When You Haven’t Done Anything Wrong” by Shira Miller, “Igniting the Power in You” by Dr. Bola Delano-Oriaran, “Finding Freedom — Escaping the Prison of ‘Never Enough’ by Erin Conlon and afternoon keynote speaker Kate Carter on “Gentle is the New Strong: How Self-Compassion is Key to Building the Lives We Desire.” In addition to the day’s many speakers, there are multiple networking breaks so attendees can connect with each other.
The Backstage Pass event keynote speaker, Lisa Cruz, will present “(R)Evolution: Change Begins with You. You Hold the Power, the Next Step is for You to Release It.” Backpage Pass also includes a networking cocktail reception.
Initiated in 2018 by Vicki Updike, the visionary owner of New Sage Strategies LLC, the Women’s Leadership Conference was born out of a passion for helping women push through challenges and advance their careers. Often the only woman in the room, she wanted to share her experiences to help other women move forward.
“I learned a lot during my two decades in leadership roles and wanted to find a way to help other women during their own career and leadership journeys,” she said. “The conference, which features a wide range of speakers with incredible stories to share, provides attendees with knowledge and inspires them to go after their dreams.”
Registration is now open. Three participation options are available: the backstage event and conference Oct. 1-2 for $289, the Oct. 2 conference only for $189, or the conference virtual pass for $59.
