“The Women’s Council is excited to hear from these amazing women about their work in the trades, labor, and apprenticeship,” says Jenifer Cole, Women’s Council Executive Director. “The meeting is a great opportunity to lift up women working in non-traditional fields, and hopefully, inspiring more women to take on unique career paths in the trades.”
The panel will discuss the importance of attracting, engaging, and retaining women in the variety of trades, registered with unions, and enrolled in apprenticeship programs. The panel will also cover how the rates of women working in the trades has changed over the years and discuss challenges and successes women experience in these fields. The Council looks forward to the roundtable discussion about how to advance women working in the trades, labor, and apprenticeship programs.
The meeting is open to the public and no registration is required. For those wanting to tune in online, the meeting will be streamed via MS Teams.
