MEDIA ALERT (June 13, 2024, Milwaukee, Wisconsin)—The Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce proudly presents Taste of Black Milwaukee featuring The 22nd Annual Men Who Cook Competition.
Event Creator Ruben Hopkins, Wisconsin Black Chamber CEO, stated “Over twenty Black Owned Restaurants and caterers will be highlighted. Join us for an array of culinary delights from mouthwatering Bar-B-Q to sensational veggie treats. We are also raising funds for Camp “Xhongo” Peace and My Father’s House. Camp Xhongo takes 100 to 150 men and boys camping on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River. My Father’s House equips men with the skills to be better fathers. Weekly classes, on job readiness, anger management, economic stability support, resume building, and dressing for success are provided. Both organizations encourage and support men to be positive role models. Enjoy Music, Comedy, Live Performances and Good Food. Have fun celebrating Father’s Day weekend.

Learn about wonderful restaurants. Taste new food and be a judge by sampling flavorful bites from Celebrity Chef, Freddy Coleman (Season 7 of Fox MasterChef Show) and Kitchen Connoisseurs in The “Men Who Cook” competition.

11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Men Who Cook Competition will present food selections for everyone to try. Chefs are showing off for prizes. Come be a judge. Participants pick the WINNER!
