December 20, 2024 (Madison) On December 6, Noah Domnitz of Domnitz & Domnitz, S.C. in Milwaukee took the reins of the Wisconsin Association for Justice (WAJ) and will serve as it’s president for 2025. He celebrated with friends, family and colleagues at WAJ’s annual President’s Dinner and Reception held at the Pfister Hotel.
Noah is a Managing Partner at Domnitz & Domnitz, S.C. in Milwaukee. His practice is dedicated to helping injured individuals and representing families in wrongful death cases. He relishes the daily fight for justice on behalf of his clients.
Domnitz’ father, Ric Domnitz, with whom he shares his practice, served as the organization’s President in 1992 when it was known as the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers (WATL). Domnitz succeeds Peter M. Young of Wausau, who led the organization in 2024.
Noah has tried cases to verdict in numerous counties around Wisconsin and has successfully represented individuals in several other jurisdictions.
The right to a civil jury trial, embedded in the U.S. (7th Amendment) and Wisconsin (Article I, § 5) constitutions, is one of our oldest consumer safety nets. The frequency of jury trials, however, has long been in decline, making Noah’s dedication to preserving this important forum for protecting our rights all the more exemplary. The pandemic only exacerbated this trend. For example, in 2023, there were only 69 civil jury trials for tort cases in Wisconsin. Compare that to 2018, which featured 201 civil jury trials in the state.
Noah’s dedication to the cause of wrongly injured people is not limited to the courtroom. Noah has been dedicated to serving and building WAJ for his entire legal career and, in fact, much of his life. Nationally, he serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and AAJ’s Public Affairs Committee. Noah has authored multiple articles for WAJ’s magazine, The Verdict, has been a presenter at multiple WAJ CLE seminars, and authored op-eds and other commentary on legal and political issues in periodicals like the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Noah is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Miami School of Law. He lives in the Milwaukee area with his wife, Rebecca, herself an accomplished trial lawyer, and their two sons, Hersh and Levi.
