UW-Milwaukee: Registration for UWM’s Osher Summer Programs opens April 30

MILWAUKEE, WI, April 25, 2024— UWM’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is excited to open registration for its summer programming, including talks, workshops, day trips and more. Registration opens April 30 at uwm.edu/sce/osher/

“The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is designed for adults who have a passion for learning,” says Sarah Grammer, UWM Osher director. “We have a lot lined up for this summer, giving participants the chance to learn something new, stay active and engage with others. Try our lecture-based classes at the historic UWM Hefter Center, our Go Explore field trips out in the community, or our group travel program for international learning adventures. You will enjoy engaging with a welcoming community of peers.”

This summer Osher members can enjoy a wide selection of day tours such as riding in a 1938 Fire Engine through the Historic Village of Greendale, playing games at Game Barrister, walking tours of Grant Park, the Historic Milwaukee Riverwalk and the Hefter House neighborhood, visiting Madison’s museums, mansions and gardens and so much more. Talks and discussion groups are also very popular and range from history, politics, art, AI, science, languages and more.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a membership program of UWM’s School of Continuing Education for adults interested in learning new things together. Check out our website to view our catalog of programs, become a member and register for classes:  uwm.edu/sce/osher/
