Green Bay, WI — UW-Green Bay is hosting a grant writing workshop for local government and nonprofits. The grant writing workshop will take place online over the course of two mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, February 26 and 27. The cost is an affordable $129 for both days.
Grants are one way that local government and non-profits fund solutions to the issues that challenge the community but can be competitive and demanding of time and resources. UW-Green Bay’s new workshop refines the grant writing process by delivering strategies for success, including strategic planning and aligning projects with goals and mission.
The workshop is led by Kerry Kuenzi, associate professor and chair of the Master of Public Administration Program at UW-Green Bay. She earned her Ph.D. in public affairs and focuses on issues at the intersection of public and nonprofit management and collaborative governance.
“Grant writing is a vital skill,” says Kuenzi, “for public and nonprofit organizations, as successful grant requests bring vital financial resources to community organizations. It also reinforces the importance of their missions and programs in their communities.”
During the grant writing workshop participants will learn from five modules that employ a blended learning approach—lectures, interactive discussions, case studies and practical exercises.
