Uline: Packers Tailgate Tour stops at Kenosha warehouse

Kenosha Uline, North America’s leading distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials, welcomed the Green Bay Packers’ Tailgate Tour on Tuesday, April 9. The team’s customized Packers-themed bus rolled up at Uline’s Kenosha facility for a surprise visit with some 750 employees. The event featured current Packers players Elgton Jenkins, Kenny Clark and Rasheed Walker and alumni players Bryan Bulaga, Mike Daniels and Alex Green, along with Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. It was a meaningful visit for Uline employees.

“I wasn’t expecting this at all, it was just a normal day at work and then – here’s Packers players!” exclaimed Uline Warehouse Associate Josh R. “As a fan, it was awesome to see all the players, especially Kenny Clark. Go Packers!”

The team’s visit started out with green and gold ice cream sundaes and socializing. Then, the Packers put their packing skills to the test! Players filled Uline boxes with Uline products and Packers gear before shipping the souvenirs back up north to Titletown!

“It’s probably the largest building I’ve ever seen in my life and it’s that much more impressive with how efficient they are. They told us about how the phone doesn’t even ring when you call it’s instantly picked up, you order something you get it the next day, I’m very impressed. And this is only one building – it’s intimidating quite frankly!” said former Packers Defensive Tackle Mike Daniels. “I think it’s easier to be a Packer in Green Bay, than a Packer at Uline. I’d rather go up against my teammates because I’d probably mess this up!”

The team’s tour then “wrapped up” seeing Uline’s Freight Wrappers in action, which collectively send out an average of 4,600 skids of product per day. This was the team’s third stop on the first day of their 5-day road trip visiting with fans across the southern part of the state.

“The main purpose of the tour is really just to thank our fans across the state. We like to stop in at larger Wisconsin businesses and recognize the employees,” said Mark Murphey, Packers President and CEO. “This is really an amazing process you guys have here, it’s pretty special.”

“As a Wisconsin-based company, having the iconic Green Bay Packers at Uline holds a special significance for us. Their visit is a testament to the strong bond between our community and our company,” said Brad Harper, Kenosha Branch Manager. “Welcoming the Packers to our facility is an experience that our team will cherish, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie and excellence that defines both Uline and the Packers.”
