The Dane County Farmers’ Market: Outdoor Season begins April 13

Beginning Saturday, April 13, 2024, and running each Saturday through November 9, 2024, the Dane County Farmers’ Market (DCFM) will host its weekly Saturday Market on the Square from 6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

The DCFM will hold its final Late Winter Market this Saturday, April 6, at Garver Feed Mill from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

On July 13, during Art Fair on the Square, the DCFM will be held at Breese Stevens Field.

The DCFM Wednesday Market on the 200 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. will begin Wednesday April 24, 2024, and continue through November 6, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

SNAP/EBT services are provided every market at the Information Booth. Additionally, The Dane County Farmers’ Market Cookbook: Local Foods, Global Flavors will be available for purchase at every market at the Information Booth.

At every market, you’ll always find hundreds of local, Wisconsin-produced agricultural products. With over 200 vendors, the DCFM is known as the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the nation. From freshly picked asparagus and radishes to aged cheddar and cured meat, you can make amazing meals with the thoughtfully grown and crafted products from the DCFM. Visit us any Saturday or Wednesday this growing season, rain or shine, to experience some Wisconsin Goodness.

This year, the State Street corner of the Capitol Square – West Mifflin Street and North Carroll Street – will be closed to vehicle traffic each Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. until the end of the market at 1:45 p.m. Customers who use vehicles to pick up large orders from that corner of the Square can do so before 8AM, or arrange an alternative pick up site with the farmer.

Through early May, East Mifflin Street will also be closed to vehicle traffic due to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station construction. BRT station construction on West Main Street will also impact traffic, with only one lane available, so we recommend avoiding this area until construction is completed.
