{GREEN BAY, WI., April 23, 2024} – The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation
(WEDC) recently celebrated the best downtown revitalization projects of 2023 at the 33rd Wisconsin Main Street Awards ceremony held at Gather on Broadway in the Broadway District, downtown Green Bay.

“As Main Street goes, so goes Wisconsin’s economy, its well-being, our way of life in the Badger State,” said Missy Hughes, WEDC Secretary and CEO. “And these awards prove once again Wisconsin communities are thriving. Congratulations to the winners. We salute and celebrate you, our partners in creating an economy and improving the quality of life for the betterment and benefit of all.”

Along with WEDC leaders, On Broadway, Inc. staff were joined by City of Green Bay Mayor, Eric Genrich to celebrate successful projects and initiatives executed by Main Street and Connect Communities programs around the state.

“It was a thrill to welcome so many other Main Street communities to the Broadway District and to recognize the award winners from our district for their contributions and accomplishments,” said Brian Johnson, On Broadway, Inc. executive director. “Anytime we can shine a light on the work happening in the Broadway District, we take that opportunity and run with it. We are passionate about our work and the work that Broadway District volunteers and business owners do every day and especially love when that hard work gets recognized.”

Amongst the many statewide recipients at this year’s event, the Broadway District took home two awards, cementing On Broadway, Inc. as the winningest Main Street program in the state. Additionally, two Green Bay residents were recognized for their service.
