NeighborWorks Green Bay: Announces Open Houses at 1162 and 1164 Day Street, Green Bay 

Green Bay, WI – NeighborWorks Green Bay will celebrate its latest new construction, marking our 463rd and 464th homes impacting our community, reflecting our mission of solving housing challenges and building stronger communities. The community is invited to our Open House for a tour and refreshments on Wednesday, June 26th at 1162 and 1164 Day Street in Green Bayfrom 3:30 to 6:00 pm.

These newly built single-family homes feature their own unique floor plan, both with an open concept living area with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a 2-car detached garage. The homes are in the Olde North Neighborhood where reactivation of a recognized neighborhood association is currently underway to enhance the well-being of all neighbors. NeighborWorks Green Bay, Green Bay Area Public Schools, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and local builders’ partner in the Bridges Construction and Renovation Program that teaches high school students how to build and renovate homes. They were built by Green Bay students during the 2023-2024 school year. The homes will be offered for sale to area families following the open house.  “We’re excited to see two lovely new homes on Day Street.  Our partnerships, especially with the City of Green Bay, our donors, Green Bay Area Public Schools, and most of all, the students who built these homes – have created a lasting positive impact in this neighborhood,” said Noel Halvorsen, President and CEO of NeighborWorks Green Bay. 

The homes are made possible through a unique partnership among NeighborWorks Green Bay, Adopt-A-Home™ donors, Green Bay Area Public Schools’ Bridges Construction & Renovation, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Green Bay, the Brown County Home Builders Association, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and other local supporters.
