Ranette Maurer and Matthew McMahon join the team as General Managers at AC Hotel Madison Downtown and DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East, respectively.
Madison, Wis. (July 15, 2024) –Today NCG Hospitality announces two new General Managers in hotels around the Downtown Madison area. With years of expertise in Madison hospitality, Ranette Maurer joins NCG Hospitality as the new General Manager of AC Hotel Madison Downtown, while Matthew McMahon transitions from his previous role of General Manager of AC Hotel Madison Downtown to the new General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East.
Ranette Maurer, the previous Director of Sales at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, has been a cornerstone of the downtown Madison community for the past 24 years. With three decades in the hospitality industry, Ranette has great wisdom to bring to the AC Hotel Madison Downtown. She finds joy in her role as a spouse, mother, and soon-to-be grandmother, while her personal passions include gardening and outdoor activities. Raised in a Military family, Ranette has lived across the U.S. but proudly calls Madison home.
Ranette said, “My journey in hospitality has always been about more than just exceptional service; it’s about building lasting relationships and creating spaces where people feel truly valued and welcomed.” She added, “I’m so excited to continue my journey with NCG Hospitality and bring my expertise to the AC Hotel Madison Downtown.”
With a dedication to full-service hospitality, Matthew McMahon will continue to excel in his transition from the General Manager at AC Hotel Madison Downtown to General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East. Starting as a front desk agent at Chicago’s Essex Inn, Matthew quickly discovered a passion for the hotel industry, advancing through roles at The Westin O’Hare and PUBLIC. His dedication led to leadership positions, ultimately becoming the General Manager at Aloft Chicago O’Hare before joining NCG Hospitality. Matthew’s three years at AC Hotel Madison Downtown are sure to lead to great things in his new role at DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East.
