MILWAUKEE (April 23, 2024) – Student designers are hard at work preparing for the annual CREO Fashion Show at Mount Mary University. The show’s theme, “Aura,” will feature a diverse array of influences culminating in a dazzling display on the runway. It will take place on Friday, May 10 at 1, 5 and 7:30 p.m. in the Alumnae Dining Room of Bergstrom Hall on the Mount Mary campus.
Among the featured designs will be repurposed sportswear donated by the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation. Students from the junior fashion design class will creatively repurpose the merchandise into upcycled garments ready for the runway.
Assistant professor Patricia Kuehnl, who oversees the merchandise management class coordinating the show, shared that the 2024 CREO event will combine a diverse array of influences to create a sensory showcase for viewers.
“The approach and look this year will be very different than what we have done in the past,” she shared. “We strive to surprise, engage and immerse our audience with a new experience each year at the student show.”
