MILWAUKEE — MKE Tech Hub Coalition, a nonprofit organization working to inclusively grow tech talent in the Milwaukee region, is furthering AI capabilities in the region by launching AI innovation workshops. With a $50,000 donation by 7Rivers, an innovative technology company specializing in data modernization and artificial intelligence, the MKE Tech Hub Coalition will begin AI workshops in July to help empower small and medium-sized manufacturers and students in the region to harness the power of AI by providing them with tangible resources and processes to make it real for their businesses.
“We are grateful for 7Rivers’ generous donation, which will bring these workshops to life and help manufacturers responsibly expedite their journey with AI,” said Kathy Henrich, MKE Tech Hub Coalition CEO. “It is only through our donors’ support that we are able to partner with leading AI experts to help our regional talent and businesses bolster their AI tech and data capabilities.”
This donation is just one step in raising Milwaukee’s profile and capability as a tech hub, with currently over 2,000 tech companies and more than 80,000 tech jobs in the region. The MKE Tech Hub Coalition, with recent local investments in AI education and certifications by WCTC and MSOE, demonstrates the Milwaukee tech community’s commitment to fostering innovation in the field and supporting local and national businesses toward implementing the latest in AI technology into their business.
“Milwaukee is preparing to become a powerhouse in the AI revolution, and we at 7Rivers are excited to help fuel this transformative journey,” said Paul Stillmank, Founder and CEO of 7Rivers. “Our partnership with MKE Tech Hub Coalition is a pivotal move to supercharge the region’s AI and data capabilities. We’re not just investing; we’re igniting the limitless potential of AI in this vibrant market, setting a path for dynamic growth and innovation.”
These workshops are in addition to other local AI investments, including Microsoft’s recent announcement, educational offerings from MSOE and WCTC, Northwestern Mutual’s Data Science Institute including UWM and Marquette, and MKE Tech Hub Coalition’s other AI programming.
MKE Tech Hub workshops are set to begin in July, with additional information about the workshops and other events available at www.mketech.org/ai.
