Students are going out in style as they present a runway show featuring dozens of fantasy styles. Graduates are eligible to become state-licensed cosmetologists.
On Wednesday, December 11 at 4 p.m., Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) Cosmetology program presents “The Edge: A Beauty Showcase.” The runway show will feature students showcasing fantasy themes in beauty, makeup, nail and hairstyles.
The runway show serves as a final project for the Advanced Style students from MATC’s Cosmetology program as they show off their imagination, creativity, individuality and expertise at an end of semester extravaganza.
Students were encouraged to be innovative and imaginative to complete the overall look on their models, demonstrating their expertise and creativity. Traci Dorn, the department’s educational assistant and a local cosmetologist will emcee the showcase.
