Milwaukee, WI – October 15, 2024 – After a decade of captivating audiences as the evening news anchor at FOX6 WITI, Stephanie Grady has announced her departure from the station. Grady will be leaving FOX6 at the conclusion of her contract on October 15th to embark on a new venture, launching Influential Athlete, LLC.
Influential Athlete is a groundbreaking company dedicated to empowering elite female student-athletes in the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) space. With a personal understanding of the challenges faced by female athletes, having experienced a career-ending injury at 17 herself, Grady has created a solution to address the significant disparities in the NIL market.
“I saw firsthand how much potential female athletes have, but also how often they’re overlooked in favor of their male counterparts when it comes to funding, education, and opportunities in the NIL space,” said Grady. “With Influential Athlete, we’re changing that. We’re helping these women realize their full potential by equipping them with the tools, strategies, and mindset to build strong personal brands and thrive both on and off the field.”
Grady’s company addresses a significant gap in the NIL landscape. While female athletes possess incredible potential, many lack the guidance necessary to pitch themselves to businesses and brands, limiting their financial and professional growth. Influential Athlete aims to be the solution by providing a strategic roadmap for female athletes competing in high school and all college divisions to showcase their true value and maximize their NIL opportunities.
“This is something I desperately wished I had when my athletic career came to an end,” Grady shared. “Through Influential Athlete, we help student-athletes see what makes them unique and valuable beyond their sport so they can capitalize on everything they have to offer, setting themselves up for success when their athletic careers conclude.”
Grady’s departure from FOX6 marks the end of a remarkable career in television. Her passion for storytelling, combined with her engaging personality, has made her a beloved figure in the Milwaukee community. As she transitions to her new role as a trailblazer in the NIL space, Grady’s legacy at FOX6 will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence future generations of journalists.
“I’ve had the incredible privilege of serving the Milwaukee community for the past ten years, and I’m deeply grateful for the support and opportunities I’ve received,” said Grady. “However, my heart has always been drawn to the world of athletics, and I’m excited to dedicate my energy to helping young female athletes achieve their full potential.”
