Elmbrook Education Foundation: Recognizes 30 Elmbrook staff members as Most Influential Educators

Brookfield, WI – Friday, June 16, 2024 – The Elmbrook Education Foundation sponsored the 13th annual Most Influential Educator banquets on May 19th for Brookfield East High School and June 2nd for Brookfield Central High School. The inspiration for this program originated with Elmbrook parent, Jane Peavler.

“I am thankful to the EEF and its sponsorship of the Most Influential Educator program. It provides an avenue for students in the Elmbrook School District to honor those teachers that have had a positive impact on their education.  Every year students do it with humility, creativity, and an abundance of gratitude. It is a privilege to be a part of this program,” said Jane Peavler, MIE Chair.

Honorees are nominated by fifteen graduating seniors from both Brookfield Central and Brookfield East High Schools. Students are asked to nominate a teacher who had a significant positive effect on their K-12 education. A banquet is held in their honor where nominators prepare a speech about their most influential educator and create a homemade gift in their honor.

EEF was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Brookfield High School graduates. In 1999, the Foundation’s mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students and raise money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. EEF has awarded over $1,700,000 in scholarships and over $745,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the district’s budget.
