EAU CLAIRE – The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce announces the release of unbiased candidate resources for Chippewa Valley area State Assembly districts on the ballot for the November 5 election.
The Chamber does not endorse candidates, but works to provide candidates with the opportunity to present their views regarding state policy issues. All 12 major party candidates in six area districts – 67, 68, 69, 91, 92, and 93 – participated in individual 5-6 minute sit-down video interviews and answered a written candidate questionnaire about economic issues.
“This is an opportunity for voters to hear from candidates, in their own words, what their priorities would be if elected to represent the area in Madison, all without the distraction of all of the negative advertising we’re now being exposed to,” noted Scott Rogers, the Chamber’s Vice President Governmental Affairs.
The Chamber’ “State Assembly Elections” page on its website is where voters can find links to confirm their voting district, access candidate websites and social media links, view the recorded Chamber sit-down video interviews, and read candidate responses to the Chamber’s economic issues questionnaire. The sit-down videos can also be accessed on a playlist on the Chamber’s YouTube channel:
