WHITEWATER –June 20, 2024 –The City of Whitewater has renewed their title sponsorship of the Discover Whitewater Series (DWS): Half Marathon, Half Marathon Team Event, and 5k. Through the city’s sponsorship, the DWS is able to continue hosting a premier running event while giving back to the community and showcasing Whitewater’s best attributes.
Through their sponsorship, the DWS is able to host an incredible event, give back to local nonprofits, and showcase Whitewater’s greatest features.
The 12th annual DWS will be held on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024. The DWS team is grateful for each sponsor who helps make this community-building race a reality every year. This incredible event could not have been made possible without the support and collaboration of many local businesses, organizations, schools, and the city itself. We are very proud to have such a supportive community and excited to give back to nonprofits in need.
“Running and the City of Whitewater are two of my favorite things; the DWS provides a great way to experience both,” Dawson Miller said, “I love when the entire community comes together to put on this amazing race while showing some of the great places Whitewater has to offer. Growing up in Whitewater, I always enjoyed the events in the city, and still come back to participate even after moving to Milwaukee. I always look forward to race day!”
Along with the city’s contribution, the DWS is able to support the race by providing the highest quality exceptional parking. Over the past 12 years, the City of Whitewater has offered the DWS a number of volunteers, police officers, and financial support to help make the DWS a success.
